Rakesh Roshan made a passionate announcement on Instagram, stating that Hrithik will be taking over as director of Krrish 4. 25 years after starting his playing career under the guidance of Aditya Chopra and Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik’s directorial debut is a noteworthy milestone.
Rakesh Roshan expressed his pride in the caption of the post, which included a sentimental photo of the father-son pair:
“I introduced you as an actor 25 years ago, and now, 25 years later, Aditya Chopra and I are introducing you as a director for our most ambitious movie, #Krrish4. I hope this new role brings you blessings and prosperity!

Krrish 4 Experienced Delays Because of Budgetary Restrictions
Krrish 4 has experienced several delays because of financial restrictions. The project was first undertaken by Siddharth Anand’s production company, Marflix, but they eventually withdrew owing to budgetary issues. Following Siddharth’s departure, director Karan Malhotra, who was supposedly supposed to direct the movie, also left. However, it appears that the eagerly anticipated superhero movie is finally back on track with Hrithik now leading the charge under the direction of Aditya Chopra and Rakesh Roshan.
Hrithik’s Directorial Debut: Priyanka Chopra’s Reaction
The actress Priyanka Chopra, who portrayed Priya Mehra in the earlier Krrish movies, also expressed how she felt about Hrithik’s recent adventure. Fans speculated that she could return to the franchise when she left comments on the post with heart, fire, and folded hands emojis.

Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), the first movie in the Krrish franchise, introduced audiences to Rohit Mehra (played by Hrithik Roshan) and his relationship with the amiable alien Jadoo. When Rohit’s son Krishna, played by Hrithik, acquired superpowers and changed into the masked superhero Krrish in Krrish (2006), the plot continued. In Krrish 3 (2013), the third installment, Krrish faced off against Vivek Oberoi’s character, the formidable villain Kaal.
